I'm a bit of a contradiction. I'm a cynical idealist, a femmy looking tomboy, and an uneducated intellecetual. I tend to be pretty easy going most of the time. It takes a lot to piss me off, but when I'm mad I have a really bad temper. I have flaws, plenty of them, but I try to keep them hidden in polite society.
I love to learn and am looking for someone with an open mind who can get into a debate with me without turning it into an argument. I love to read and one of my ideals has always been finding someone I can sit with, reading seperate books, but touching a bit, even just with her feet resting on my legs, in comfortable silence.

my ideal first date would last all day, so this could take a while. I'd start off with going somewhere we could walk and talk, maybe hiking or wandering around downtown Austin or something like that. Then stopping for food, preferably somewhere neither of us has been to, followed by more wandering and talking. Then in the evening, depending on the girl, I would like to go to see a play in a nice theater where you get to dress up. Or if she's not into fancy stuff, going to an arcade or laser tag place or something like that. Just anything but dinner and a movie.

I've always wanted to try sky diving, but I'm petrified of heights. I love to travel, and haven't had much of a chance, so I'd love to be able to go to all the places I've always wanted to see, and just explore them on my own. I learned to SCUBA dive years ago, but I've always wanted to try cave diving.

My idea of fun varies with my mood. Most of the time I'm content to just curl up on the couch with a book or a good Buffy the Vampire Slayer marathon. But when I feel like being social I like floating down a river with a group of good friends, paint ball, going to a bar and playing darts, going to a shooting range, bowling, or just hanging out doing nothing but talking. I'm pretty easy to entertain really.
