I've lived here in Ottawa for 25 years but I still consider myself a "downhomer". I was born and raised on the east coast, and come from a wonderful large family. I never realized how beautiful it was down there until I left. Funny how that is. Family, friends and my cat is a very important part of my life.

I am looking for a friend, first and foremost. All of my best relationships started by getting to know the person first. If anything progresses past that I believe it is meant to be, and in the end, I do seek a partner. I must warn you though, I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve. I will always tell you how I feel and let you know if something is bothering me. I would like my partner not to be afraid to do the same. Communication is the "glue" that will keep us together. lol All I ask for is honesty, trust, and respect. It is a big part of a relationship and I will give it back to you. ;-)

I have a big heart, and I hurt when someone lies to me. You're better off telling me the truth because chances are you'll be easily forgiven. If you lie to me, you may not. ( lol) I enjoy stimulating conversation and will talk about almost anything so talking and sharing stories, and having a few laughs, allows me to mould a personality or character of that person. Chemistry is also a big part of a long lasting relationship, that is why I willingly post (recent) pictures of myself and I ask you to do the same. I don't know why, but I've had dates in the past post pics of themselves, but when meeting them, they didn't look anything like the pictures they've posted.

I spent 22 years serving this beautiful country of ours, and would do it all again in a heartbeat. I had a great career in the military and met people from all walks of life. I have travelled to places like Egypt, Israel, Germany, Austria, Spain, France, Greece, Switzerland, and Italy. I was proud to wear the uniform and still miss the life.

I claim Autumn as my favourite time of the year. There is nothing more beautiful than watching the leaves change colour. I always try to surround myself with positive people and I am spiritual. I totally believe that everything happens for a reason. I am a big Ottawa Senators fan so Leaf fans need not apply... lmao.... honestly, I am only kidding. I used to date a leaf fan and we had fun ribbing each other.
